Hi there.
Im thinking of respeccing, and trying to find a good PVP and PVE build.
My current build is like this (Arcane/Frost):

But still... Im thinking of including some fire in all of this.

My thoughts on the new build:
- Frost (24 points)
My main tree, where most points is spended. Best for PVE but also some nice PVP abilities.
And... I can't live without Ice Block.
- Arcane
Most stuff here is also must have, except the Arcane Meditation. I put them there as I saw it as one of the most benefitting to place them, since I must have 20 points for PoM. (And had 2 points left, ofc those can be put other places.)
- Fire (5 points)
Only 5 points in reduced cast time on fireball.

You forget one thing: Rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and scissors cuts paper...

Ive been playing around with a lot of various builds both for pve and pvp and the only build that actually is good for both is the deep arcane build imo. Only reason I'm not using 31 arcane 20 frost is because of the loss of ice block and the gain of DPS would at least tripple my repair cost. Just the thought of 2k+ crits with frostbolt without the slightest way of protection is... :/
I dont like your build to be honest. You go frost/arcane and throw away 5p in imp fireball - why? When will you ever throw fireballs? The only time you might do it is on a sheeped rogue in PVP but why would you need shorter casting time to do that?
My suggestions:
1) Drop imp fireball. Go more deep in the arcane tree -> 4p arcane mind + 1p arcane instability.
2) Drop 1p arcane meditation and put that in arcane instability.
3) Drop 3p arcane sublety and put them in arcane focus. Why would you need less threat from arcane spells if you are going to use frost in PVE?
If you want to be less usefull in MC and focus more on PVP you might want to drop these spare points in imp cone of cold instead. It shines together with shatter. |

My thoughs:
- 1 point in imp mana shield wasterd (10%, thats 1 mana off for every 10 taken, not much gain for 1 point) put it in dampen magic or smt
- imp aracane missiles - not needed for pve really, _can_ be useful for pvp, but rarely
- imp blizzard is wasted imo - put them in piericing ice instead - how often do you REALLY use blizzard?

| I use blizzard really offten. I have seen mage using it really nice. Took mount pulled lots of mobs behind him then runned some distance used improved blizzard untill mobs were close to him. Then he used frost nove and CoC blinked away and used again blizzard. He pulled lots of mobs without taking nearly not a single hit to himself. |
